COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) UGET is the common entrance exam held at the national level for candidates who aspire to get into the best engineering colleges in Karnataka. The exam is held to get admission in the 190 unaided private colleges of engineering. It is a computer-based test conducted for undergraduates who want to take admissions in BE/B. Tech courses and the application fee for appearing in this test is Rs. 1800/- 

The exam is divided into three sections i.e. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and the duration of the exam is of three hours, one hour is for solving the mathematics section and the rest of the two hours is for solving Physics and Chemistry section. Each section consists of 60 questions i.e. 60 questions of Mathematics, 60 questions of Physics, and 60 questions of Chemistry, which makes it a total of 180 questions. All questions are multiple-choice questions and there is no negative marking in the exam. 

The exam is held annually in the month of May and the results are out around June. Students can register for this exam from February to April.

Eligibility Criteria to appear for COMEDK UGET Exam 

The eligibility criteria to appear for this exam is that the student must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized school and must have Maths and English as a part of their course curriculum. The minimum criteria to appear for this exam is that a student must have an aggregate of 45% in their 10+2 in their physics, chemistry, and mathematics for the general category and 40% of aggregate for the students in respect of SC, OBC, and ST candidates of Karnataka State. And no Diploma students are entertained.
